There are many agents that make Golden Hour Restoration Institute a viable organization. First, our board has committed hundreds of hours of time to ensure that the organization meets its mission statement. Second, but just as importantly, the people in the community who strive to understand and improve habitat for native plants and animals. These are the students of the environment who provide our organization with a raison d’etre. We’re blessed to receive support from a number of donor-partners including the Garber Park Stewards, North Oakland Hills Landscape Committee, Dominican University, Claremont Canyon Conservancy, Audubon California, Restoration Design Group, Creekside Center for Earth Observation, Bingham McCutchen for legal representation, and Hanson-Bridgett who sponsors our monthly board meetings.
- Golden Hour Restoration Institute is a gateway for experiencing and learning about nature in a sustainable, educational, and fostering manner. Our mission is to provide engaging, science-based instruction and project leadership in order to conserve and restore native species and habitats. Our strategy is to bring small groups of people, classes, into the outdoors and allow them to experience the spirit of the outdoors through service-based learning.
